There are currently no humanist chaplains, but the organizations below have put forth lay leaders for recognition and have put worked with the military as representative organizations. Atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers, skeptics and other nontheists are associated with these philosophies. Many call themselves atheist without being aware that they already hold a humanist life stance.
